To see your WoW guild roster and where you rank, look up your character on the RankSurge WoW stats page and open the Guild tab. It lists your guild's members from Blizzard's official API, adds item level and Mythic+ rating for up to 60 max-level members, and shows your place in the guild for both.
This guide covers what Blizzard's guild data includes, how the RankSurge guild board works, why some members show a dash and how Battle.net sign-in lists your own characters. It is current as of October 2026, during Midnight Season 2. Try it on the RankSurge WoW stats page.
What does Blizzard's guild data show?
Blizzard shares guild data through the official Battle.net API. A guild profile includes its name, faction, member count, achievement points and creation date. The roster lists every member with name, realm, level, class, race and guild rank number. Rank 0 is the guild Leader, and a guild can use up to ten ranks and hold up to 1,000 members, per Warcraft Wiki.
| Data | From Blizzard | On the RankSurge board |
|---|---|---|
| Name, realm, level, class, race | Yes, for every member | Yes, with a class color dot |
| Guild rank | Rank number (0 is Leader) | Shown as GM or the rank number |
| Item level | Only from each character's own profile | Added for up to 60 max-level members |
| Mythic+ rating | Only from each character's own profile | Added for the same members |
| Online status and officer notes | Not in the data RankSurge receives | Not shown |
In game, the roster lives in the Guild tab of the Social panel. The difference on RankSurge is that you see item level and current Mythic+ rating next to each name, and you can open it from any browser.
How does the RankSurge guild board work?
- Look up your character: pick your region, realm and name on the WoW stats page.
- Open the Guild tab: the board loads when you open the tab, using the guild on your character's profile.
- Read the roster: members are listed by guild rank, then name. The first 20 show at once, with a Show all button for the rest.
- Sort it: press a column heading to sort by item level, Mythic+ rating, level or rank. Members with no value always sort last.
Blizzard's roster has no item level or rating, so RankSurge looks those up member by member. To stay inside Blizzard's limits we enrich up to 60 members at the guild's highest level, highest rank first and then by name. The board is cached for about an hour and each member's numbers for up to 6 hours. If any lookups fail, that board is not cached, so the next visit tries again. Each name links to that character's full profile.
How do you see where you rank in your guild?
Above the table, "Your place in the guild" chips show your item level and Mythic+ places, such as "Item level #4 of 38". The count is how many members have a value for that stat, and members on the same number share a place. Your own row is highlighted. If you sit outside the first 20, your row is added under a dashed line so you can always find yourself.
- Big guilds: places are worked out among enriched members, so in a guild with more than 60 max-level characters your place is among those 60.
- Not max level: characters below the guild's top level are listed but not enriched, so they have no place.
- Use it for groups: sort by Mythic+ rating to find guildmates near your score for keys, or by item level to see who is ready for harder content.
Why do some guild members show a dash?
A dash means we have no number for that member. Blizzard has said its profile API only covers characters that have been active recently, and older characters return Not Found, per a Blizzard API forum reply. The common reasons:
| Reason | What you see | What fixes it |
|---|---|---|
| Inactive or hidden by Blizzard | Dash for item level and rating | The player logs in again |
| Below the guild's top level | Listed, no item level or rating | Reaching the top level |
| Outside the 60 enriched members | Dash in a very large guild | None; the cap keeps the board fast |
| No Mythic+ run this season | Item level shown, rating dash | Completing a key |
| A lookup failed | Dash until the next try | Visiting again later |
Recent realm transfers and name changes can also take time to show, because Blizzard updates its API on its own schedule.
How does Battle.net sign-in list your characters?
You do not need to sign in to see a guild board. If you want your own characters in one list, open the Player Hub, pick your region and choose Sign in with Battle.net. You sign in on Blizzard's own page, and RankSurge asks only for permission to read your World of Warcraft profile.
- Your characters: characters level 10 and up are listed with class color, level, race, class, realm and faction, each linking to its full profile.
- Use as my main: pick one character to drop into AI Profile Pick compares.
- Read-only: Blizzard's API cannot move items or change anything on your account, and RankSurge never sees your password.
- Sign out any time: Sign out of Battle.net on this device removes the list from your browser.
What can a guild do with its roster stats?
Guild data is most useful for planning. Officers can spot members whose item level lags behind and point them to fixing missing enchants. Key groups can match players with similar ratings, using our Mythic+ rating guide to plan pushes. Raid teams chasing Mythic Ula'tek in The Venomous Abyss, where the first 200 guilds worldwide earn a Hall of Fame feat per Blizzard, can check gear before a progression night. You can also put two members side by side in AI Profile Pick.
See your whole guild at a glance. Look up your character on the RankSurge WoW stats page and open the Guild tab, or sign in with Battle.net in the Player Hub to list all your characters.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see my WoW guild roster outside the game?
Look up any character in the guild on the RankSurge WoW stats page and open the Guild tab. The board lists every member from Blizzard's official API with name, level, class, race and guild rank, and adds item level and Mythic+ rating for up to 60 max-level members. It works in any browser and needs no sign-in. Pick the right region first, because each region has its own realms and guilds.
How many guild members does RankSurge show stats for?
RankSurge lists the whole roster Blizzard returns, and enriches up to 60 members at the guild's top level with item level and Mythic+ rating. Members are picked by guild rank first and then by name. The cap keeps the board fast and inside Blizzard's API limits. In a guild with more than 60 max-level characters, the rest are listed without those two numbers, and your place in the guild is worked out among the enriched members.
Why is a guild member missing item level or rating?
Usually because Blizzard does not return that character's profile. Blizzard has said its profile API only covers recently active characters, so a member who has not logged in for a long time shows a dash. Characters below the guild's top level are not enriched, and a member with no Mythic+ run this season has no rating. If a lookup failed, the board is not cached and the next visit tries again.
How often does the RankSurge guild board update?
The guild board is cached for about an hour, and each member's item level and Mythic+ rating for up to 6 hours. A board where some lookups failed is not cached, so it refreshes on the next visit. Blizzard also takes a while to update its API after people play, often until they log out. New members, a fresh key or a new item can therefore take a few hours to appear on the board.
Is Battle.net sign-in on RankSurge safe?
Yes. You sign in on Blizzard's own Battle.net page, so RankSurge never sees your password. RankSurge asks only for permission to read your World of Warcraft profile, which it uses to list your characters in the Player Hub. Blizzard's API is read-only, so nothing can be moved, sold or changed on your account. You can remove the list at any time with Sign out of Battle.net on this device.
Can I see guilds on other realms and regions?
Yes, as long as the guild is in a region Blizzard's API serves: US, which also covers Latin American and Oceanic realms, Europe, Korea and Taiwan. Look up a character from that guild with the right region and realm, then open the Guild tab. Members on connected or other realms are listed with their own realm. China realms are run separately and are not available through this API, so RankSurge cannot show them.
