These terms cover buying ads on RankSurge. Choose monthly billing that renews until you cancel, or prepay 3, 6 or 12 months in one payment that does not auto-renew. A person reviews every ad within 2 business days. If we can't approve your ad for a fixable reason, you get a full refund. Ads that break our Ad Content Policy are removed without a refund and the account is banned from advertising.

These Advertising Terms ("Ad Terms") are an agreement between you (the "Advertiser") and RankSurge ("RankSurge", "we", "us"). They apply in addition to our Terms of Service, Ad Content Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. You accept these Ad Terms by ticking the agreement box on the product page and again in the cart before checkout. If you are buying for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on its behalf.
Packages and pricing
Current packages, placements and prices are listed on our Advertise page and on each package page. There are two kinds of placement:
- Site ads: Spotlight Box, Banner, Featured Partner and Game Hub Sponsor, shown on the homepage, game hubs, tools and info pages.
- Blog ads: Blog Spotlight (mid-article), Blog Banner (under the post title) and Blog Takeover (every blog slot, one sponsor at a time), shown on blog posts and the blog index.
Prices shown are launch promo prices. Standard prices are shown crossed out next to them. The price shown at checkout when you buy is the price that applies.
Billing options
Monthly
Your first month is charged when you buy, and the subscription renews automatically every month on the same date until you cancel. We email you 3 days before each renewal.
Prepaid 3, 6 or 12 months
You pay once for the whole term at a discount of 10% (3 months), 15% (6 months) or 25% (12 months) off the monthly price. Prepaid plans do not renew automatically. We email you before the term ends so you can extend if you want. Unused months are not refunded.
Prices are in US dollars and do not include any taxes that apply, which are added at checkout.
Founding Advertiser price lock
If you buy a monthly plan at a launch promo rate, that rate stays locked while your subscription stays active. If you cancel, or your subscription ends for non-payment, the locked rate ends, and any new purchase is at the price shown at that time.
Price changes
For subscriptions without a locked rate, we will email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before that renewal.
Limited spots and the waitlist
Each package has a limited number of spots. When a package is full, you can join its waitlist. When a spot opens, we email the next advertiser in line and hold the spot for 48 hours. If they do not complete payment within 48 hours, the spot is offered to the next advertiser. Joining the waitlist is free.
Ad review and approval
When you submit your ad, our system automatically checks your landing page link, link text and wording against the Ad Content Policy. A person then reviews every ad and landing page, usually within 2 business days. Your ad starts running only after approval, and we email you when it is live.
Fixable problems: full refund
If your ad has a fixable problem (for example the wrong image size, a typo, or a landing page that does not load), we will ask you to fix it. If it can't be fixed within 7 days, or the slot you bought has no room, we refund that payment in full and cancel the order.
Policy violations: no refund and account ban
If your ad, link text, landing page or business is in a banned category (including gambling, adult content, alcohol, tobacco or vapes, cannabis, cheats, account selling, crypto, weapons, drugs or malware), or if you change your landing page after approval to something that breaks the policy, or try to hide where your link goes (for example with redirects or link shorteners), then:
- the ad is rejected or removed immediately;
- the payment is forfeited and is not refunded, including any unused prepaid months;
- any monthly subscription is cancelled; and
- your customer account, email address and business are banned from buying advertising on RankSurge.
We will email you the reason. If you believe we made a mistake, reply within 14 days and a person will review the decision again.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a monthly plan anytime from your customer account under Subscriptions, from the link in any renewal email, or by emailing sales@ranksurge.games. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your ad keeps running until the end of the month you already paid for, then it is removed. Apart from the fixable-problem and billing-error cases above, payments are not refundable and we do not give partial-month credits. See the Refund Policy and Subscription Policy.
Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrades: buy the higher package. We move your ad and cancel your old monthly subscription before its next renewal. Money already paid for the current month is not prorated. Downgrades: take effect at your next renewal. Email us to arrange it.
Record of your agreement
To protect both sides, we keep a record of your agreement with your order. It includes the boxes you ticked, the date and time, the version of these terms and our policies at that time (we keep a dated copy of each), your IP address and browser as recorded by Shopify checkout, your ad details, our review decision and the emails we sent you, and our ad delivery reports.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you have a billing problem, please contact us first at sales@ranksurge.games; we fix billing errors quickly. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute for a service you agreed to and received, we will respond with the record above, and we may pause your ads and close your advertising account while the dispute is open. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law or your card issuer's rules.
Share of voice and what we do not guarantee
Share of voice is how often a rotating ad shows in its slot. For example, 25% means roughly 1 in 4 views of that slot, and 100% means every view. Featured Partner, Game Hub Sponsor and Blog Takeover placements show on every view of the pages they appear on. We do not guarantee any number of impressions, views, clicks, visitors or sales. RankSurge is a new site and some stat lookups are still launching game by game.
Where ads appear
Site ads appear on the homepage, game hubs (except Overwatch 2), tools, guides and FAQ/About pages. Blog ads appear on blog posts and the blog index. Featured Partners can appear on both. Ads never appear on the Overwatch 2 hub, legal pages, the editorial policy, contact, checkout or the advertiser dashboard, and never inside or on top of stats, tables, lookup tools or leaderboards. Every ad is labelled "Advertisement" or "Sponsored". Advertising never changes rankings, leaderboards, data or our editorial coverage.
Our right to pause or remove ads
We may pause or remove any ad at any time if it or its landing page breaks our Ad Content Policy or the law, if a game publisher or rights holder complains about it, or if it creates a security risk for our visitors. Approval does not mean an ad can never be removed.
Your promises to us
By submitting an ad, you confirm that:
- You own or have permission to use everything in your creative, including images, logos, names and text.
- Your ad, link text and landing page are lawful, accurate, not misleading, and follow the Ad Content Policy.
- Your landing page uses HTTPS, matches the ad, has a privacy policy, and has no forced downloads, malware or redirect chains.
- You will keep your landing page compliant for as long as the ad runs.
You agree to cover RankSurge for claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that arise because your ad or landing page broke these promises or infringed someone else's rights.
License to show your ad
You give RankSurge a non-exclusive license to display, resize and format your creative, link text, name and logo on RankSurge while your ad runs, and to list you as a current partner on the Advertise page if you buy a Featured Partner package.
No endorsement by game publishers
RankSurge is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Riot Games, Valve, Bungie, NetEase, Blizzard or any other game publisher. Advertising on RankSurge does not mean any publisher endorses you, and you may not suggest that it does. See our Legal Notices and Trademarks.
Reporting
Your advertiser dashboard shows views and clicks for each placement and page, and we email you a monthly report. A view counts when at least half of your ad is on screen. These numbers come from our own analytics and may differ from your tools because of ad blockers, privacy settings and different counting methods.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RankSurge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, sales or data, arising from your advertising. RankSurge's total liability for any claim relating to advertising is limited to the advertising fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event that caused the claim. Short outages or display problems are not a breach of these Ad Terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Ad Terms. We will change the date at the top and email active advertisers about significant changes at least 30 days before they apply to an existing subscription. The version you agreed to at checkout applies to that order.
Governing law
These Ad Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
