RankSurge has three World of Warcraft tools. The character profile shows gear with a fix list, talents, Mythic+, raids, PvP and your guild. The guild board ranks your guildmates by item level and Mythic+ rating. The leaderboards show the top Mythic+ runs on your realm and the top 100 in each PvP bracket. All read the official Blizzard API.

This guide shows how to use each one, from looking up a character to sharing a leaderboard. It is current as of October 2026, during Midnight Season 2. Open the WoW stats page and the WoW leaderboards to follow along.

How do you look up a WoW character?

  1. Pick the region: US covers North America, Latin America and Oceania; Europe, Korea and Taiwan are separate.
  2. Type the realm and choose it from the list: spaces and apostrophes are handled for you.
  3. Type the character name and press Get character.

Profiles are cached for about 15 minutes, and Blizzard often updates only after you log out. Characters that have not been active for a long time may not be returned at all, per a Blizzard API forum reply. China realms are not covered.

What is on each tab of the profile?

Tab What you get
Overview Item level, Mythic+ rating, main and secondary stats, collections and PvP titles
Gear A Fix list of missing enchants, empty sockets and your lowest slots, then every item with item level, enchant and gem badges and upgrade track
Talents Spec, hero talent tree, talent chips and a Copy talent string button
Mythic+ Season rating in Blizzard's color, best run per dungeon and up to three push tips
Raids Progress bars per difficulty and a boss list with kills and last kill
PvP Rated brackets and PvP titles
Guild Your guild board, loaded when you open the tab

Each tab has its own link, so you can send a friend straight to your Gear or Mythic+ tab. The profile also opens with a dashboard: a 0 to 100 Performance Score, key stats and Ask AI questions such as "What should I upgrade first?"

How do you copy your talents?

On the Talents tab, press Copy talent string. The import string goes to your clipboard; in game, open your talents and use the import option to paste it. If your browser blocks clipboard access, the string is selected so you can copy it yourself.

How does the guild board work?

Open the Guild tab. The board lists your guild's roster from Blizzard with level, class and rank, and adds item level and Mythic+ rating for up to 60 members at the guild's top level, highest rank first. Chips above the table show your place in the guild for both, and your own row is highlighted. Sort any column, and press Show all to see past the first 20. The board refreshes about once an hour. Our guild roster guide explains why some members show a dash.

How do you use the WoW leaderboards?

Mythic+

On the WoW leaderboards, open the Mythic+ tab, pick your region, choose your realm and press Show leaderboard. You get the top three groups in every current dungeon on your connected realm this week, with key level, time against the timer, a Timed or Over time badge and the party. Pick one dungeon, or press Full top 50 on its card, to see the top 50 runs. Blizzard resets these boards every week, so early in the week they can be nearly empty. Midnight Season 2 began in the week of August 18, 2026, per Blizzard, so runs and ratings cover the Season 2 dungeon pool.

Use the board to find realistic goals: look at the lowest key in the top three for a dungeon you like, compare it with your own best run on your Mythic+ tab, and plan a push from there.

PvP

Open the PvP tab, pick a region and a bracket. Arena 2v2, Arena 3v3 and Rated Battlegrounds have one ladder per region; Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz are rated per specialization, so the list groups them by class. Each ladder shows the top 100 with rating, realm, faction, wins and losses and win rate.

Every name on both boards opens that character's profile, and the page address updates so you can bookmark or share the exact board. Leaderboards refresh about once an hour.

How do Battle.net sign-in and compares fit in?

  • Battle.net sign-in: in the Player Hub, pick your region and sign in. It is read-only and lists your WoW characters, each linking to its profile.
  • Use as my main: marks one character as yours for compares.
  • AI Profile Pick: compare two characters on Mythic+ rating, item level, raid kills, best key, PvP rating, achievements and mounts in AI Profile Pick.

Which WoW guide should you read next?

All WoW data on RankSurge comes from the official Blizzard Battle.net API, which is read-only, so RankSurge can show your gear but never change it. RankSurge is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.

Ask RankSurge AI about your profile. Look up your character on the WoW stats page and ask "Which dungeon should I push next?", then see how you stack up on the WoW leaderboards or against a guildmate in AI Profile Pick.

Frequently asked questions

How do I look up a WoW character on RankSurge?

Open the RankSurge WoW stats page, pick the region, type the realm and choose it from the list, then type the character name and press Get character. You get seven tabs: Overview, Gear, Talents, Mythic+, Raids, PvP and Guild, plus a dashboard with Ask AI. Data comes from the official Blizzard Battle.net API and is cached for about 15 minutes.

How do I see the Mythic+ leaderboard for my realm?

Open the WoW leaderboards page, choose the Mythic+ tab, pick your region and realm and press Show leaderboard. You see the top three groups in each current dungeon on your connected realm this week. Pick a dungeon or press Full top 50 to see the top 50 runs with key level, time against the timer, date and party. Boards reset with the weekly reset.

Can I see the top Solo Shuffle players for my spec?

Yes. On the WoW leaderboards page, open the PvP tab, pick your region and choose your class and specialization from the bracket list, because Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz are rated per specialization. The ladder shows the top 100 with rating, realm, faction, wins and losses and win rate, and each name links to that character's profile.

How do I copy my talent build from RankSurge?

Open your character on the WoW stats page, go to the Talents tab and press Copy talent string. The import string is copied to your clipboard, and in game you can paste it with the import option in your talents. If your browser blocks clipboard access, the string is selected for you, so you can copy it with your keyboard instead.

Why is my WoW character not found on RankSurge?

Check the region first, because a European character will not be found under US, then pick the realm from the list and check the spelling. Blizzard's API only returns characters that have been active recently, so a character that has not logged in for a long time, or that recently moved realm or changed name, can be missing until it logs in again.

How often do the WoW tools update?

Character profiles are cached for about 15 minutes, the guild board for about an hour, and the Mythic+ and PvP leaderboards refresh about once an hour. Blizzard's own API can also take a while after you play, often until you log out. Mythic+ leaderboards reset every week, and ratings and raid progress reset on Blizzard's season schedule.
