A TFT stats tracker shows a Teamfight Tactics player's ranked tier and LP, average placement, top 4 rate and recent games. Search by Riot ID and region above. Ranked TFT uses ten tiers from Iron to Challenger, and in an eight-player lobby an average placement of 4.5 is exactly the middle.
Live data is pending Riot approval. The TFT lookup above is built and switches on as soon as Riot approves our production API key. Until then a search shows a short coming soon message instead of stats. Get notified when it goes live.
What does the RankSurge TFT profile show?
- Ranks: Ranked TFT tier, division and LP, plus your Double Up tier and your Hyper Roll rating when you have one.
- Last 10 games: placement, final level, the round you reached, the traits you activated and the units you fielded with their star level.
- Summary: average placement, top 4 rate, first-place rate and the traits you play most.
- Dashboard: a RankSurge Performance Score, strengths, what to improve next and an AI coach that answers only from these numbers.
How do you find your Riot ID and region?
-
Open the Riot Client: your Riot ID is your name, then
#, then a short tag, such asName#NA1. -
Type it in one box: RankSurge splits the name and tag at the
#. Spaces in the name are fine. - Pick your server: choose the region you play on, such as North America, Europe West or Korea. A player on another server will not be found.
How do TFT ranks work?
Ranked TFT uses the same ten tiers as League of Legends: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster and Challenger. Each tier below Master has four divisions, and 100 LP moves you up one. In most tiers a top 4 finish gains LP and a bottom 4 finish loses LP; how much depends on the exact placement and your hidden matchmaking rating. Ranks reset when a new set launches, so your tier always reflects the current set.
TFT ranked queues compared
| Queue | Format | How you are ranked |
|---|---|---|
| Ranked TFT | 8 players, every player for themselves | Tiers Iron to Challenger with LP |
| Double Up | 4 teams of 2 players | Its own tier and LP, separate from Ranked TFT |
| Hyper Roll (when available) | 8 players, shorter games | A rating with colour tiers instead of LP |
| Normal | 8 players | Not ranked; does not change your tier |
Which TFT stats actually matter?
Placement is what earns LP, so the numbers below explain more about a climb than any single first place.
Average placement
Your mean finish. Lower is better, and 4.5 is the lobby middle.
Top 4 rate
How often you finish in the top half, which is what gains LP in most tiers.
First-place rate
Outright wins. Rare for everyone, so judge it over many games.
Final level
The level you ended on. Low levels in losses often mean you rolled too early.
Top traits
The traits you activate most. A few comps you know well usually beat forcing new ones.
LP to the next division
How far you are from promotion: 100 minus your current LP.
What does an average placement mean?
| Average placement | What it means |
|---|---|
| Above 4.5 | Finishing in the bottom half more often than the top half |
| Exactly 4.5 | The mathematical middle of an eight-player lobby |
| 4.0 to 4.4 | Finishing above the middle on average |
| Below 4.0 | A consistent top half record over the games counted |
These bands are simple arithmetic, not official percentiles. Ten games is a small sample, so one bad game moves your average a lot.
Where does RankSurge get TFT data?
All TFT data comes from the official Riot Games API: account lookup by Riot ID, TFT league entries and TFT match history. Profiles are cached for about 10 minutes. RankSurge does not show hidden MMR estimates and does not scout lobbies before a game. For patch and set news, see the official Teamfight Tactics site.
RankSurge isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

Frequently asked questions
How do I look up a TFT player on RankSurge?
Type the Riot ID into the lookup at the top of this page as Name#TAG, choose the region the player uses, and press Get stats. RankSurge shows the Ranked TFT, Double Up and Hyper Roll ranks, the last 10 games with placement, level, traits and units, and a summary with average placement and top 4 rate. The data comes from the official Riot Games API and is cached for about 10 minutes.
Is the RankSurge TFT stats tracker live yet?
Not yet. The lookup on this page is built and connected, but live data switches on only after Riot approves our production API key. Until then a search shows a coming soon message instead of stats. We will not guess a date before Riot confirms the approval. Join the newsletter on this page and we will email you as soon as TFT and League of Legends lookups open.
Does a top 4 count as a win in TFT?
For ranked stats, yes. In an eight-player lobby, a top 4 finish is counted as a win and a bottom 4 finish as a loss in the ranked win and loss totals Riot reports, which is why RankSurge labels them top 4 and bottom 4. In most tiers a top 4 gains LP and a bottom 4 loses LP. First place is shown separately as your first-place rate, because outright wins are much rarer.
What is a good average placement in TFT?
In an eight-player lobby the middle is exactly 4.5, so an average below 4.5 means you finish in the top half more often than not, and an average below 4.0 is a consistent top half record. Treat these as simple arithmetic, not official percentiles. Ten games is a small sample, so one bad game can move the average by a lot. Track it over a few sessions before changing how you play.
Are Ranked TFT and Double Up ranks separate?
Yes. Ranked TFT and Double Up each have their own tier and LP, so climbing in one does not move the other. Double Up puts you in a team of two against three other pairs, while Ranked TFT is every player for themselves. Hyper Roll, when it is available, uses a separate rating with colour tiers instead of LP. Normal games never change any of your ranks.
Does RankSurge show TFT MMR or scout my lobby?
No. RankSurge shows only the official tier, division and LP that Riot provides, never hidden MMR estimates, and it does not scout your opponents before or during a game. Riot's policies for third-party apps rule out both. Your tier and LP are what decide promotion, and your average placement and top 4 rate show how well you are playing.
