A Deadlock stats tracker shows your rank, souls and match performance across games. Deadlock ranked has 11 ranks, Initiate to Eternus, each with six subranks (I to VI). Each subrank costs 1,000 Rank Points, and eight calibration games set your starting rank, capped at Oracle VI. Souls per minute matters most.

How do Deadlock ranks work in 2026?
Ranked returned to Deadlock on July 30, 2026 as its own mode, separate from unranked Standard. You earn roughly 300 Rank Points per match, adjusted for matchmaking quality, and win streaks add bonus points from your third win in a row.
Losses near a boundary are softened by rank protection: two matches before you drop a subrank, five before you drop a full rank.

| Rank | Subranks | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Obscurus | None | Uncalibrated; finish 8 calibration games |
| Initiate | I - VI | 1,000 points per subrank |
| Seeker | I - VI | |
| Acolyte | I - VI | |
| Sentinel | I - VI | |
| Mystic | I - VI | |
| Ritualist | I - VI | |

| Oracle | I - VI | Highest possible calibration result: Oracle VI |
| Phantom | I - VI | |
| Ascendant | I - VI | |
| Eternus | I - VI | Subranks set by percentile, updated daily |
How do Eternus subranks work?
Eternus is percentile-based. Within Eternus players, II starts at the 25th percentile, III at 50th, IV at 70th, V at 85th and VI at the 95th percentile. Your highest rank each season is saved to your rank history.
Which Deadlock stats actually matter?
Kills look good on a scoreboard, but Deadlock is an economy game. These numbers explain who is really winning.
Souls per minute
Souls buy items and upgrades. Souls per minute, or net worth versus your lane opponent, is the best single read on your farm.
Last hits and denies
Securing troopers and denying the enemy's last hits decides lane. It is the earliest place a game slips away.
Hero damage
Damage to enemy heroes shows your fight impact, especially for carries who may not land the final blow.
Objective damage
Damage to guardians, walkers and the Patron. Games end at objectives, not in the kill feed.
Deaths
Each death costs time and hands the enemy souls. Fewer deaths usually beats more kills.
Win rate by hero
Deadlock heroes play very differently. Your top heroes by win rate and games played show where to focus.

Frequently asked questions
What are the Deadlock ranks in order?
Deadlock's ranks, lowest to highest, are Initiate, Seeker, Acolyte, Sentinel, Mystic, Ritualist, Emissary, Oracle, Phantom, Ascendant and Eternus. Players who have not calibrated show as Obscurus. Every rank has six subranks, I to VI, with VI the highest. That makes 66 ranked steps in total, with Eternus subranks decided by percentile rather than a fixed points threshold.
How do rank points work in Deadlock ranked?
Each subrank takes 1,000 Rank Points, and the last subrank before a new rank takes 2,000. A match is worth roughly 300 points, adjusted by matchmaking quality, and win streaks add a bonus starting at the third straight win. Losses are cushioned by rank protection: two games at a subrank boundary and five games at a full rank boundary. Above Eternus I, thresholds update daily based on where players sit on the ladder.
How many placement games does Deadlock have?
Deadlock uses eight calibration matches after a soft reset. Until you finish them, your rank shows as Obscurus. Calibration cannot place you higher than Oracle VI, so players who belong in Phantom, Ascendant or Eternus have to climb the rest of the way through ranked matches. Your highest rank in a season is saved to your rank history when the season ends.
When does the current Deadlock ranked season end?
Ranked returned to Deadlock on July 30, 2026 as a separate Ranked mode next to unranked Standard mode, starting Beta Season 1. Valve extended Beta Season 1 to November 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM Pacific, with the next season starting right after. Season dates can change with patches, so check the in-game ranked screen and our patch notes page for the latest schedule.
What is the most important stat in Deadlock?
Souls, Deadlock's currency, are usually the best single indicator because they turn into items and ability upgrades. Tracking souls per minute, or your net worth compared with the enemy laner, shows whether you are winning lane and farming efficiently. Pair it with hero damage, objective damage and deaths: a high net worth that never reaches guardians, walkers or the Patron does not win games.
