CS2 inventory value

Check what a CS2 inventory is worth

Paste a Steam profile link, SteamID64 or custom URL name. We read the public CS2 inventory and price items with Steam Community Market listings in USD.

Read-only. RankSurge never asks for your Steam login or trade access; we only read your public inventory.

A CS2 inventory value checker adds up what the items in a public Steam inventory currently list for on the Steam Community Market. Paste a Steam profile link, SteamID64 or custom URL above and RankSurge totals the priced items in US dollars. It is read-only and never needs your Steam login.

Read-only. RankSurge never asks for your Steam login or trade access; we only read your public inventory. If any site asks you to sign in to Steam on its own page to "check" your skins, close it.

How do you check your CS2 inventory value?

  1. Copy your Steam link: open your Steam profile and copy the address, or use your 17-digit SteamID64 or custom URL name.
  2. Paste it into the checker: press Check value. Signed in with Steam on RankSurge before? Press Use my Steam instead.
  3. Read the totals: you see the estimated value in USD, total items, unique items and how many are priced so far.
  4. Sort and filter: sort by value, rarity or name, search for a skin, or show only tradable or marketable items.

Share a result by copying the page link. It includes ?id=, so it opens straight to that inventory.

Where do the CS2 skin prices come from?

Prices come from the Steam Community Market for Counter-Strike 2 in US dollars. We use the lowest current listing, or the median sale price when there is no listing. Steam limits how fast prices can be read, so each check prices up to 30 more marketable items, rarest first. Items not priced yet show "–" and are left out of the total until a later check prices them.

To stay within Steam's limits we keep a copy of a public inventory for about 30 minutes and each item price for up to 12 hours. Market prices move all the time, so treat the total as an estimate, not a quote.

Estimate vs what you would actually get

Figure What it means
RankSurge estimate Sum of current lowest Steam Market listings for priced items, times quantity
Selling on the Steam Market Buyers pay the listed price. Steam charges a transaction fee on Community Market sales; the Market sell window shows exactly what you receive before you list.
Not marketable items Cannot be sold on the Steam Market, so they have no market price
Steam Wallet funds Money from Market sales goes to your Steam Wallet, not to a bank account

Why does it say my CS2 inventory is private?

Steam only shares inventories that are set to public. In Steam, open your profile, choose Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set both My profile and Inventory to Public. Steam can take a few minutes to update. Public means anyone can see your items; it does not let anyone trade or move them.

What do the CS2 rarity colours mean?

Each item card has a colour bar that matches its Steam rarity.

Rarity Colour Typical items
Consumer Grade Light grey Common weapon skins
Industrial Grade Light blue Common weapon skins
Mil-Spec Blue Most case drops
Restricted Purple Less common case skins
Classified Pink Rare case skins
Covert Red The rarest case skins, plus knives
Extraordinary Red Gloves
Contraband Gold Discontinued items, such as the M4A4 | Howl

Rarity is a guide, not a price. Exterior wear, stickers and demand change what an item sells for.

Can RankSurge move or trade my CS2 items?

No. Valve does not give third-party sites like RankSurge a way to move CS2 items, and we never ask for trade access, trade links or your Steam API key. Moving gear in the browser is available for Destiny 2 in the Vault Manager, because Bungie's official API allows it.

Inventory and prices come from public Steam Community pages. RankSurge is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check how much my CS2 inventory is worth?

Paste your Steam profile link, 17-digit SteamID64 or custom URL name into the checker at the top of this page and press Check value. RankSurge reads your public CS2 inventory and adds up current Steam Community Market prices in US dollars. You see the estimated total, item count, unique items and how many are priced so far. Your inventory must be set to Public in your Steam privacy settings.

Is the RankSurge CS2 inventory checker safe?

Yes. It is read-only: RankSurge never asks for your Steam login, password, trade link, trade access or Steam API key. We only read the inventory Steam already shows to anyone when it is public. Be wary of any site that asks you to sign in to Steam on its own page to value skins, because that is a common way accounts get stolen.

Why is my CS2 inventory private on RankSurge?

Steam only shares public inventories. In Steam, open your profile, choose Edit Profile, open Privacy Settings, and set both My profile and Inventory to Public. Changes can take a few minutes to reach Steam's public inventory page, so wait a little and press Check value again. A public inventory can be viewed by anyone, but it cannot be traded or moved by anyone but you.

Where do the CS2 skin prices come from?

Prices are Steam Community Market listings for Counter-Strike 2 in US dollars: the lowest current listing, or the median price if there is no listing. Steam limits how fast prices can be read, so each check prices up to 30 more marketable items, rarest first, and unpriced items show a dash. Item prices are cached for up to 12 hours, so the total is an estimate, not a quote.

Why are some of my CS2 items not priced?

Some items have no market price because they are not marketable, such as many default or non-tradable items. Others are marketable but not priced yet: Steam limits price lookups, so RankSurge prices up to 30 more items per check, starting with the rarest. Press Price more items to continue. Unpriced items are left out of the estimated total, so the real figure can be higher.

Can RankSurge move, sell or trade my CS2 skins?

No. Valve does not give third-party sites like RankSurge a way to move CS2 items, and RankSurge never asks for trade access. To sell, use Steam itself. Steam charges a transaction fee on Community Market sales; the Market sell window shows exactly what you receive before you list. The money goes to your Steam Wallet. For Destiny 2, the RankSurge Vault Manager can move gear because Bungie's official API allows it.
