Modern Warfare 4 launched on October 23, 2026, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is not on Game Pass until Holiday 2027, according to the official Call of Duty blog. Its modes are Campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ; there is no Zombies mode at launch.

When did Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 start?
Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone Season 1 started on all platforms at 12:00 AM Eastern time on November 6, 2026, which was 9:00 PM Pacific on November 5 and 5:00 AM UTC. Activision has not announced when Season 1 ends or when Season 2 begins. A mid-season Season 1 Reloaded update is confirmed, but its date has not been announced yet either.
Is Modern Warfare 4 on Game Pass?
Not yet. The official Call of Duty blog says Modern Warfare 4 will not be included with Game Pass until Holiday 2027. Until then you need to buy the Standard or Vault Edition. Previous Call of Duty buyers get a 10% loyalty discount, and the Vault Edition adds operator packs, signature weapon blueprints, a season of BlackCell and a DMZ deployment bonus.
Does Modern Warfare 4 have Zombies?
No Zombies mode is listed in any official Modern Warfare 4 mode list. The game launched with Campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ, an extraction mode that Activision presents as the third pillar. Season 1 added the X01 black site to DMZ, with a sealed Deep Vault, new bosses and a FOB vendor. Activision has not said whether Zombies will come later.
When does Ranked Play come to MW4 and Warzone?
Activision has not announced a Ranked Play date for Modern Warfare 4 or Warzone as of November 7, 2026. Black Ops 7 Ranked arrived with its Season 02 in February 2026, so a later-season start is likely.
