The RankSurge Destiny 2 weapons database lists every legendary and exotic weapon in the game with its base stats, frame, every perk it can roll and where it drops. Open any weapon to test perks, see how the stats change and check how it ranks against weapons with the same frame.

How do I find the best roll for a weapon?

  1. Search a weapon by name, or filter by slot, element, weapon type, frame, ammo and rarity.
  2. Sort by the stat you care about, like Range or Handling, and set a minimum value to cut the list down.
  3. Open a weapon and tap one perk in each column. The stat bars update, with gains in green and losses in red.
  4. Check the How it compares panel to see where it ranks among similar weapons, then add it to a build or the compare tray.

What does "similar weapons" mean?

Legendary weapons are compared with others of the same type and frame, such as other Adaptive Frame hand cannons, because frames set the fire rate and damage profile. Exotics are compared with weapons of the same type and fire rate. Each stat shows its rank, the average and the best value in that group, and the cyan tick on each stat bar marks the best value among rivals.

Where does the data come from?

All names, perks, icons and stats come from Bungie's official Destiny 2 item database. RankSurge rebuilds it every day after the daily reset, so new weapons appear soon after Bungie adds them. Stats are base values before masterwork, mods and enhancement; perks that only apply in certain conditions are listed separately.

Frequently asked questions

Are these Destiny 2 weapon stats accurate?

Yes. The base stats, perks and frames come straight from Bungie's official item database, rebuilt every day. Perk changes are calculated with the same stat scaling the game uses. Masterworks, mods, weapon tiers and conditional perk effects are not included in the base numbers, so your in-game weapon can show slightly different values.

How do I compare two Destiny 2 weapons?

Open a weapon and select Compare, then do the same for up to three more. The compare tray at the bottom of the screen opens a side-by-side table of every stat, with the best value in each row highlighted. Each weapon page also has a Similar weapons table you can sort by any stat.

Does the database include new and reissued weapons?

Yes. The database updates daily from Bungie's item data, so new and reissued weapons appear soon after release, marked New. When a weapon has been reissued, RankSurge shows the newest version with its current perk pool.

Can I add a weapon to a loadout?

Yes. Select Add to build on any weapon, then open the build planner to see the full loadout. If you own the weapon, the build planner can move it to your character, equip it and save the whole build into one of your in-game loadout slots after you sign in with Bungie.

Is the Destiny 2 weapons database free?

Yes. It is free with no account needed. You only sign in with Bungie if you want the build planner to save a build to your in-game loadouts.
