A Permanent Unlock Token keeps one item of your choice unlocked through future Classic resets. If you go Classic, spend tokens on the items you use in every loadout: your main weapon, a favorite perk and a lethal or tactical you never swap out. If you play mostly Warzone and care about having every attachment ready, Regular is the safer pick.
How does Weapon Prestige work?
Each weapon has its own level. When you max it out, you can Prestige that weapon, which resets its level but keeps its Apex and blueprint attachments. After its final Weapon Prestige, the weapon enters Weapon Prestige Master and keeps leveling. Weapon Prestige is a good way to keep earning rewards on a gun you already love.
How do I level up faster in MW4?
- Play objective modes. Captures, plants and defends pay XP on top of kills.
- Use Double XP tokens in long sessions. Start a token when you can play the full duration, not before a short break.
- Join the Joint Fire event. It is a squad XP event in Season 1, so play it with friends.
- Mix modes. DMZ XP counts toward your main level, and Warzone shares the same Prestige.
- Choose Classic Prestige if you want the +20% XP bonus and do not mind rebuilding loadouts.
Activision also raised XP gains on October 29, 2026, so leveling now is faster than at launch, per the launch patch notes.
